HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Local families were able to take a ride on the Pumpkin Express as it rolled around the area on Saturday.

The 4th annual festival is sponsored by the Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club and held at Sullivan's Railroad.

Families could go and play games, decorate pumpkins, listen to live music and ride the Pumpkin Train.

The day was about having a great time and bringing families together.

"Family is number one," said Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club member, Louise McIntosh. "Family is most important and not everyone has a lot of money to spend on a lot of different things. So we at Rotary don't look at this as a fundraiser. We look at this as sharing what we have with the community."

Train rides were free so everyone could have a chance at riding the Pumpkin Express.

The festival also offered a wide variety food and family-friendly vendors.
