WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect until 6PM this evening. 

Winter Weather returns to the Twin Tiers this Morning, with showers expected to mix with ice, sleet, and freezing rain and than fully transition to snow across the area. Low pressure will continue to track through the area today, with temperatures hovering around freezing with highs maxing out near 34 degrees today. Conditions may be slick, especially for this mornings commute. Be sure to take it slow as your leaving for work this morning, as accumulating snow and/or ice may be present around the area, especially on untreated roads and walkways. Accumulation of snow may be up to 2-4" with locally higher amounts up to 5" possible like for areas in higher elevations. Ice accumulation is also possible, with the area potentially receiving up to 0.2" of an inch of ice. Snow should taper by late day, with the overnight period staying relatively calm and cool with lows near 30.
