Low pressure continues to swirl out west throughout the day today as a cold front approaches the Twin Tiers and Finger Lakes. Things will stay relatively dry throughout the day with cloudy sky, but as we head towards dinner time showers arrive from this system. Showers will start off as rain since temperatures look to trend into the lower 40s by late day, but throughout the overnight rain will switch to snow. Across the area expect up to 1-2" across the area, with locally higher amounts up to 3"+ for hilltops. Keep in mind roadways may be slippery early tomorrow morning during rush hour!
