Corning Man Accused of Threatening Police with Knife
CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) - A Corning man is facing charges he threatened police with a knife.
Corning Police responded to Hillvue Avenue around 4:20 Tuesday morning for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. While investigating the complaint, officers say they were confronted by the complainant's boyfriend, James Holiday, The 49-year-old allegedly armed himself with a kitchen knife and threatened officers with the knife.
Holiday is charged with Menacing a Police Officer, 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration.
He's being sent to the Steuben County Jail on $10,000 bail. Holiday is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
