A Happy 1st Day of Astronomical Spring! This is also referred to as the Vernal Equinox occurring in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth. Today the area will experience approximately an equal day to night ratio when talking sunlight. (aka equal amount of light versus dark) Today the equinox occurs at 12:15 PM, this is the moment when the sun crosses the celestial Equator from south to north.

Today's weather will feature more sunshine with highs below average yet again for the Twin Tiers! Temperatures to start will be brisk, sitting in the low to mid teens. Some clouds will mix in throughout the afternoon, with temperatures topping out near 38 degrees. A cool breeze may be around as well today coming in out of the north and east at about 5 to 10 mph. Tonight clouds filter in with a chance of flurries, especially for the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. Lows will be cold, falling into the upper teens overnight.
