HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- More than 25 people will be without jobs by the end of the month in Chemung County. The Eaton Corporation said they'll be laying off some of their employees at their Horseheads location.

The manufacturing facility currently employs more than 200 people.

But at the end of April, twenty nine manufacturing production positions will be eliminated, that's according to a company spokesperson. The facility, located on Westinghouse Road in Horseheads, makes electrical components for industrial customers.

In a statement, the company said it was a difficult decision, and the New York State Department of Labor is working with the company to help affected employees.
