BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Thursday, April 12 that work has begun on the bridge carrying State Route 415 over Harrisburg Hollow Creek in Bath.

Work will consist of replacing the existing bridge, with some approach pavement being restored.

Motorists traveling along Route 415 may encounter lane closures as well as flaggers.

On site detours are expected to be implemented in June while the bridge is under construction. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.

NYSDOT recommends planning ahead for possible delays and to drive carefully and be watchful for construction workers.
