Man Accused Of Burning Woman's Face With Cigar
CORNING, NY (WENY) -- A man from Elmira is behind bars, facing felony charges. Police say he intentionally burned a woman's face with a cigar.
Ali Muhammad Jr., 20, is facing assault, menacing and weapons charges.
We're told police got a call for a domestic incident in Corning around 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
A 19-year-old woman told police her boyfriend, Muhammad, pressed his cigar into her face during a fight. She says she then drove to a friends house and called the police.
Officials took Muhammad into custody a short time later.
He was arraigned in the city of corning and is being held in steuben county jail on 25-hundred dollars bail.
