Allegany-Steuben "Meet the Candidates" Night to be Held May 10

BELMONT, N.Y. (WENY) – Voters in Allegany and Steuben Counties are invited to the “Meet the Candidates” night on Thursday, May 10.

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Genesee Valley Central school, located at 1 Jaguar Drive in Belmont.

The five candidates seeking support in the upcoming Democratic primary election for the 23^rd Congressional District seat will be in attendance.

The following candidates have submitted their petitions and will appear on the ballot in the June 26^th primary:

• Linda Andrei
• Max Della Pia
• Ian Golden
• Tracy Mitrano
• Eddie Sundquist

Those who attend will be able to meet and sit with the candidates and ask about their policies related to issues such as agriculture, Social Security, healthcare, the opioid crisis, economy and job growth and young people's issues.

The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited to the first 100 guests.
