BEAVER DAMS, N.Y. (WENY) – A Beaver Dams man has been arrested after allegedly issuing bad checks across the country.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Michael Rogers was charged with Grand Larceny in the Second Degree.

In July 2017, Rogers allegedly wrote two personal checks, each for $75,000, to Nicholas Farms located in Loganton, Pennsylvania.

Both checks were returned for insufficient funds and the owed money was allegedly never paid.

In November 2017, the Chemung County Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation into Rogers issuing bad checks throughout the country involving the sale of cattle.

Rogers was arraigned in the Catlin Town Court and sent to the Chemung County Jail on $10,000 bail.
