Corning's New Gorilla Glass Composite to be used for Samsung Galaxy Watch
CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Corning Inc.'s newest Gorilla Glass is now going to be used by a major tech company for a new product. It's called "Gorilla Glass DX+" and its been chosen for the cover material for Samsung's Galaxy Watch.
Corning Incorporated made the announcement Thursday. "Gorilla Glass DX+" is a new glass composite which features superior scratch resistance. It also features an anti-reflective property, designed to significantly improve optical clarity while maintaining the toughness of Gorilla Glass.
Consumer research shows that the three most important customer concerns for mobile devices are drop, scratch, and readability.
There is no official release date set for the Samsung Galaxy watch at this time, but reports indicate it may be available as soon as the end of the month.
