Three arrested following reported gunshots in Gush's Thirsty Bear parking lot
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) – The Elmira Police Department have arrested three people following an investigation into shots fired in the rear parking lot of Gush's Thirsty Bear bar.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Lake Street at Linden Place for the report of several gun shots on Saturday around 8:45 in the evening.
Upon arrival, officers were able to ascertain that the gun shots actually came from the area of the rear parking lot at Gush's Thirsty Bear. Officers located evidence of several spent bullet casings; however, no victims or injured individuals were located.
Officers were given a description of a vehicle possibly involved.
Within several minutes, a vehicle matching description was stopped by a Chemung County Sheriff's deputy in the 700 block of Sullivan Street.
Officers conducted an investigation with three suspects in regards to this stop and subsequently located a handgun, a loaded magazine and an empty magazine.
The Elmira Police Department arrested Lydell Watts, 38, of Elmira, Patrick Colter, 33, of Waverly and an unidentified 16-year-old male of Elmira. All were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
