President and CEO of Cayuga Health System and Medical Center Announces Retirement
ITHACA N.Y.(WENY)-- Today John Rudd, President and CEO of Cayuga Health System and Cayuga Medical Center, officially announced his retirement date to the public. Rudd has been the CEO and President for about six years now, but has been apart of the company for over 23 years. Since being appointed CEO, Rudd helped accomplish a great deal of projects such as installing a new state-of-the- art laboratory and maternity unit. He said he finds that it is a prime time for him to retire.
"It just felt like the right time for my family and my wife and I, and it felt like the right time because I know I have the right leader to follow me and can take the medical center and the health system into the future" says John Rudd, Current President and CEO
Martin Stallone will be taking over for Rudd in the Fall of 2019. Stallone is already the Vice President of the Cayuga medical center and is a senior hospital administrator. He has been working at the medical center for a little over ten years now and is very excited and humbled for his new position.
"We've got some excellent foundations to accomplish great things in this community and I just..I'm excited for this model of care to expand in Ithaca and in the surrounding areas," says Stallone, Vice President of Cayuga Medical Center
Until then, Stallone will be shadowing Rudd for the rest of his term in preparation to take over next fall.
