Local McDonald's Celebrates Grand Re-Opening, Donates to Non-Profits
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A local McDonald's unveiled a new look Tuesday afternoon and gave back to charity.
The McDonald's on Cedar Street on Elmira's Southport held a Grand Re-Opening Tuesday afternoon, following some extensive renovation work.
Three community grants of $500.00 each were distributed to local organizations. A local boy scouts chapter, the YWCA of Elmira, and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier all received checks!
"I think it's really important in the community that the business are able to give back to the local communities that support them, and that we support them as well. Especially our mission is always youth and education are the two areas that we try to support," says Courtney Feehan, Owner and Operator of the Cedar Street McDonald's.
The two-month long renovation project of this McDonald's restaurant means ten more jobs for the Elmira community.
