13-year-old student charged after allegedly threatening to "shoot up" North Penn-Liberty High School
LIBERTY TWP, PA. (WENY) – Pennsylvania State Police have charged at 13-year-old boy with making terroristic threats following a shooting threat made towards the North Penn-Liberty High School.
According to police, the threats were reportedly made on Friday, November 30. The suspect, who goes to Mansfield High School, allegedly threatened to “shoot up” the North Penn Liberty High School and a 13-year-old female student.
In a statement, Southern Tioga School District Sam Rotella Jr. said:
“The Southern Tioga School District received information of a threat to the North Penn-Liberty High School. The Southern Tioga School District, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Police, Mansfield Barracks, and the Mansfield Borough Police Department investigated the incident, and all appropriate steps have been taken to ensure the safety of all students. At this time, all agencies have deemed the school safe.”
