Arctic Front Brings Quick Hit Snow and Frigid Air
Heading out the door this morning, be prepared for bitter chill! Temperatures will be sitting in the single digits this morning, but as another cold front moves through mid morning and early this afternoon, temperatures will continue to plummet from there. That front will also bring quick hit snow showers, or squalls and gusty winds. Snow showers may reduce visibility and create a light coating of an inch or two in a brief period. Winds sustained this afternoon will range from 10-20 mph, with gust speeds as high as/or in excess of 30mph. This will create dangerously cold wind chill values sitting in the negative teens and twenties this afternoon.
Overnight wind chill continues to keep things frigid. Sky will be relatively clear with a few clouds. Lows are expected to bottom out near -9 degrees with wind chills ranging from -20 to -30. Please stay indoors where it is warm!
