Chenango County teacher's aide fired after being charged with rape
OXFORD, NY. (WENY) -- A Chenango County teacher's aide has been fired after being charged with rape.
CBS affiliate WBNG reports Oxford Middle School officially fired Heaven Parrish at the board meeting Monday night.
Parrish was arrested last month after police say she had sexual contact with a child younger than 15 on two separate occasions. She has been charged with second-degree rape, criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child.
Parrish was arrested, but is currently out on bail.
The Oxford Central School District Superintendent also reported middle school principal Heather Fredenburg was suspended at the same board meeting.
