Local Residents Continue to Raise Lyme Disease Awareness With Second Forum
Elmira, N.Y. (WENY)-- Three local residents living with Lyme Disease are gearing up to put on their second community forum to raise awareness of the disease and its complications.
Matt Guagliardo, Collin McLaughlin, and Adam Ruth are all teaming up again for the second Profiles of Lyme. The event is meant to give people living with Lyme Disease a platform to share their struggles and experiences, and how it affects the people around them. Submissions to tell personal Lyme stories are being accepted for the event, and organizers are looking for people to participate. If interested, you can submit your personal work to Matt Guagliardo at firstname.lastname@example.org or (607) 398-0129. Profiles of Lyme is a collaboration with the Community Arts of Elmira, and is part of the Original Work Series.
Profiles of Lyme is happening Saturday, May 11th, at 7:00pm at the Community Arts of Elmira on Lake Street. Tickets cost $5 per person at the door. The event is open to ages 13 and up.
