Water main break in Troy Borough sends kids home from school
TROY BOROUGH, PA (WENY) -- Another water main break in the Borough of Troy has area students sent home yet again. The 6-inch water main break happened on Fenner Avenue around 11AM. With the Borough without water, it forced the Troy Area School District to dismiss school at 1PM.
Troy Borough Manager, Dan Close, says the water main has been leaking a little bit, but they've been trying to hold off on repairs until Saturday so school wouldn't be affected. Workers were able to get the water main back up and working around noon. This marks the third water main break the borough has had in the last three weeks.
