Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for the area through Monday evening, continuing Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Today we will just be watching for patchy flurries and light drizzle with mainly cloudy sky. Through the overnight into early Tuesday though a Winter Storm Watch will initiate as snow approaches from the south. Snow will start our day off Tuesday morning, but as the low pressure lifts towards the northeast with the warmer edge of the system entering the Twin Tiers, precipitation will have the opportunity to switch through the afternoon. We are not ruling out freezing rain, sleet, snow and just regular rain during this time, which could impact the amount of snow versus the amount of ice we see accumulating.

We could see 3-6 inches of snow as well as up to 0.10-0.15" of ice accumulation during this time. Be sure to check back in for the latest forecast throughout the day today!
