CATLIN, N.Y. (WENY) – The Town of Catlin is holding a public meeting on Saturday, February 23 to discuss a recent agreement with a solar company that has established a solar farm in the town.

Town officials say they have negotiated an agreement with Bullrock Solar that will reportedly reduce electric rates by 10% – compared to NYSEG rates -- for residents who participate in the Catlin Community Solar Program.

The program says there will be no change to electric services for those who sign up, no fees, no long-term commitment and no solar panels added to residents' roofs and properties. Additionally, the program is open to renters and homeowners.

There is a limited amount of spaces, so residents can sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis. The information session being held on February 23 will be at the Grace Lee Memorial Wesleyan Church at 2075 Chambers Road in Beaver Dams. The meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m.
