Rochester man charged with altering Steuben Co. Jail commissary check
BATH, N.Y. (WENY) – A Rochester man is behind bars after Steuben County Sheriff's deputies say he altered his jail commissary check while in Steuben County Jail.
On Wednesday, Brandon Baker was taken into custody at the Monroe County Jail.
Police say in October 2018, Baker booked out of the Steuben County Jail, altered his jail commissary check from $1.77 to $3,129 and then tried to cash it.
Baker has been charged with Forgery, Attempted Grand Larceny and Falsifying Business Records. He was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and sent to the Steuben County Jail on $5,000 bail.
