Hornell man arrested in connection with overdose
HORNELL, N.Y. (WENY) -- A Hornell man was arrested after police say he sold narcotics to another man who reportedly overdosed.
Hornell P.D. says 23-year-old Dana Masterson was arrested and charged with criminal possession and criminal sale of a controlled substance, along with assault. Police say on April 19, they were called out to a home for a possible overdose. When officers got there, they found a man unresponsive and in respiratory arrest.
The man was revived with narcan, taken to the hospital, treated and released. After investigating, police say Masterson sold that man narcotics -- and evidence was found to establish a narcotics link between the suspect and the man who overdosed.
Police say Materson was later charged with obstructing governmental administration, and violation of parole.
