ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) – The 2019 Celebrity Chef dinner at the Hill Top Inn had a packed crowd Friday evening. The event was hosted by the Chemung County SPCA and aims to raise money for homeless animals.

Friday's evening was filled with plenty of gourmet food that was prepared by 7 local public figures. This years roster featured Jason Earl, Randi Hewitt, Maria Terry among many others.

The dinner included wine and beer pairings, recipe sharing and select auction items. Tickets were 75 dollars and all proceeds go towards the care of the 12-hundred animals that come into the shelter each year.

“It takes a special person to take a homeless pet into their home. We want to make sure that we are providing them with a good animal that has a good solid background, and we make sure that that animal is in a position to go to a home,” said President of the Board of Directors of Chemung County SPCA.

Tickets for the Celebrity Chef dinner began at $75. All the money that the SPCA makes from this event helps them accomplish that throughout the year.
