Alex joined the WENY First Warning Weather Team in May of 2019 after graduating from the State University of New York at Oswego with a B.S. in Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics.

Alex grew up in Monroe, NY, a suburb of New York City.  Alex enjoys all four seasons that we experience here in the Northeast and his favorite season, which may come as a surprise, is winter. His fascination with weather was sparked in February of 2010 when a powerful nor’easter impacted his home and Alex experienced thundersnow for the first time. Since then, Alex was not only interested in the physical representation of weather, but he wanted to understand why this all occurs.

In his spare time Alex enjoys going to the gym and participating in all kinds of sports. He also is a very passionate sports fan. His favorite sports teams include; Detroit Lions (NFL), Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), Brooklyn Nets (NBA), and Chicago White Sox (MLB).

Alex was awarded the New York State Broadcasters Association award for Best Collegiate Weathercast 2019 in his senior year at SUNY Oswego while he also held the title as Chief Meteorologist for the college news station.

Alex currently resides in Corning, NY and is enjoying his new home in the Southern Tier!
