Across the Twin Tiers today we started out with mass amounts of sunshine, but that quickly went away as clouds grew until they eventually popped into heavy rain showers. More rain is on the way as well.

On Wednesday, we will be looking at more showers to enter the region which could also be heavy at times. These showers hold a tropical air mass because the moisture is originating from what was Hurricane Barry.

With tropical moisture in the region we could be looking at rainfall totals pushing over 2 inches in some isolated locations. Because of this, the Weather Prediction Center has issued a slight risk to see flash flood guidance issued across the Twin Tiers tomorrow. This rain will limit visibility on the roadways and cause pooling and ponding as well. Make sure you stay safe when these downpours move in tomorrow.
