Steuben Co. joins nationwide class action lawsuit against drug makers
BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- Allegations of price fixing, that's why Steuben County is joining a nationwide class action lawsuit against 20 pharmaceutical companies.
The group involved with the lawsuit alleges that the companies involved fixed prices and committed other anti-trust violations of at least 15 prescription drugs. he group also claims these companies participated in "market division" and other antitrust violations.
The names of the 20 companies were not named in the press release from Steuben County. On Monday morning, the Steuben County Legislature approved to retain a lawyer to move forward with the lawsuit.
