MANSFIELD, PA (WENY) - It was a hot weekend in the Twin Tiers but that didn't stop golfers from coming to Mansfield to play in Corey Creek Golf Club's annual Men's Invitational on Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st.

The Invitational was started by former Head PGA Professional at Corey Creek, Art Connelly, and it has been the course's largest tournament over the last few decades and has grown to be one of the most popular in the area. The tournament usually brings in around 80 teams per year, and there were 22 teams in the Senior Division this year, the most so far in the course's Invitationals.

Not only do golfers from the Twin Tiers play in this tournament every year, but players make the trip from Florida and Canada just to play in the annual event, where they bring their RV's and camp out in the course's grove down on hole 17.

WENY's Ryan Campbell talks with current Head PGA Professional at Corey Creek, Shawn Mitcheltree, and a couple long-time players of the tournament in a fun weekend at Corey Creek Golf Club.
