CORNING, NY (WENY) -- You don't have to go to New York City to see a Broadway play.

SUNY Corning Community College is showing Mamma Mia! till Sunday in Schuyler Hall. Shows will be August 2nd and 3rd at 7:00pm. Keuka Lake Players club is also holding a show at 2:00 on Saturday and Sunday. It features student actors and also members from the community. For some, it will be their first time on stage.

"This summer we wanted to do something bigger, something everybody knows and can really get the audience interact and something they can really enjoy. So we chose Mamma Mia! because the rights just became available and everybody in the surrounding area is doing it right now but it is a great show," explained music director, Dominick Horton-Miller.

Mamma Mia! is a story about a bride trying to find her father by flying them to a remote island. The musical is based on songs by the band ABBA.
