ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) - Police are investigating a possible shooting at the corner of Grand Central Ave. 

This information is unconfirmed at the time. However, according to an initial scanner report and someone who lives nearby, a person was shot just after midnight on Stephens Pl. WENY went to the scene at around 1 in the morning on Saturday. By the time our news crew got there, there was heavy police activity and two people were being handcuffed. The intersection was blocked off while police investigated and searched the area for evidence.
