WATKINS GLEN, N.Y.(WENY)-- If you were disappointed about Woodstock 50 being canceled this weekend, you still have an opportunity to hear live music and donate to a good cause. Watkinstock was originally created to coincide with Woodstock 50 this weekend, but even though the big event was canceled, Watkinstock still lives on. This concert in the park is not only a great time to sit back and relax to music, it also is an opportunity to donate to a kids summer camp. Camp Iroquois hosts underprivileged kids from all over New York for all expense paid week of fun.The Schuyler County Sheriff Office teamed up with some locals to help put on the first ever Watkins stock to raise more funds.

"We give children from all over New York State a week at summer camp in the finger lakes and they get to do things that they've only heard of or maybe even didn't even hear of. Sometimes they come and they don't even have sneakers to come to camp. They come up there, they at some point learn to water ski, they fish, they swim, they do kids stuff," says Bill Yessman, Schuyler County Sheriff.

If you got caught in Saturdays storm or missed out on the concert in the park, the fund-raising will continue at Landon's Pub& Pizza in Watkins Glen. Live music and more activities will continue into the night until about midnight. If you would like to donate to Camp Iroquois and or learn more about it, you can click here
