ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Brand Park in Elmira was lively Sunday afternoon, as the community gathered for the 25th Olde Tyme Festival.

Now, don't let the name fool you, because there were people of all ages enjoying their time at today's festival. There were several different vendors set up, selling a variety of items like antiques, arts and crafts, glassware, handmade soap and plenty more.

To keep the children entertained, there were blowup obstacles for them to play on as well as the bounce houses. You could also find the well known popcorn truck there along with a ton of different festival food options.

Festival organizer, Anthony Popkin, shares with WENY news why this event is always a memorable one.

"Seeing the community come together and enjoy eachother's company and just see the kids have a good time, and offering this to the community and just seeing them enjoy it is the best part to me," says Anthony Popkin, festival organizer.

Anthony Popkin tells WENY news, what makes this years event so special is the organizers worked extra hard this year to continue the festival tradition in honor of his grandmother, Winnie Watts, who originally started the event 25 years ago.
