New York, N.Y. (WENY) - Former New York Congressman, Gary Ackerman has recently been accused of a sex abuse act. This incident dates back to the 1960s.

A lawsuit was filed, accusing Ackerman of sexually abusing an underage boy at a boy scout camp. He reportedly lured the teenager into his car and drove him to an abandoned road where the incident supposedly took place.

Ackerman's lawyer denied all accusations. Ackerman was 23 during the time of the alleged incident. Reports say he tried to persuade the teenager into performing oral sex on him.

The democrat's attorney said in a statement "there has never been any accusation of this kind or indeed of any wrongdoing in the congressman's career."
