Motorcycle ride to raise money in memory of teenage girl who was killed in car accident in 2015
Pine City, N.Y (WENY) – A motorcycle ride is scheduled for today to raise money in memory of a teenage girl from Elmira who passed away in a car wreck.
Hannah Jerzak was killed in August 2015 by a man who was charged with driving while drunk and high. The accident happened in the town of Southport, so the ride kicks off today at the Southport Chapel Park in Pine City. It's called “Hannah Ride.”
Registration began at 9 this morning and the ride starts at 11. The motorcycle ride will end at Clubhouse 4565 Frost Hill Road in Montour Falls.
All riders are asked to make a $10 donation. The public is welcome to watch. All proceeds will go to the Southport Red Cinderella Softball and the Bond Family Fund.
Jerzak was a softball player and would have been a junior at Elmira High School before she was killed.
