Rain, Heavy at Times, Takes Aim at the Twin Tiers
An unsettled pattern has moved into the region and will persist through the rest of this week. We will see some spotty shower activity on Tuesday before the chance for heavier rain returns for Wednesday and Thursday. The storm system that brought record setting snowfall to parts of the Northwest US will push through and as it does so a cold front will slowly drag south into our region. This will allow a stream of moisture to flow into the region for Wednesday and then an area of low pressure will follow along that front to bring another chance for rain on Thursday. We could be looking at rainfall totals Wednesday and Thursday adding up to over 1" which means we could be looking at some isolated flash flooding. We will keep you updated as more data becomes available.
