Again across the Twin Tiers we could be looking at chance for heavy rain. At this time Monday we will be watching another storms system moving from the Central US and into our neighborhood by Tuesday. This system will be a bit of déjà vu for the region because we will see another "Miller-B" type system. We will see the main system move to our north and the energy will again transfer to the coast, just like our recent system we saw last week. The difference this time around is that a full energy transfer to the coast does not look likely, so this will significantly lessen the chance for damaging wind gusts, although breezy conditions are still expected. Also, because we are not expected to see a full energy transfer to the coastline, the chance for heavier rain across the Twin Tiers increases. As of now, we are expected to see rain accumulations between half and an inch of rain, but some locations could see more.
