MANHATTAN, NY (WENY) – With Halloween being over, it is time to turn our focus to the next holiday and New York is doing just that.

Thanksgiving may still be a few weeks away, but the Empire state is preparing for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. New giant balloons for the Manhattan parade have already had a test flight. They were tested in New Jersey to make sure they can hold up with the wind.

Some of the balloons you can expect to see are astronaut Snoopy, Netflix's "Green Eggs and Ham" and SpongeBob SquarePants and Gary. There will even be a heritage balloon of a fan favorite, Smokey Bear.

This year New York is celebrating 93 years of the big annual parade.
