The first two weeks of November this year have been written in the top 5 coldest starts to November in recorded history and the colder weather is not over yet. Although we will see temperatures climb into the 40s for highs this week, colder weather will make a return to our part of the region as we head into next weekend and for Thanksgiving week. A strong blocking high over Greenland will be slowing down the flow and this will allow cold air to pour into our region and linger across the Northeast. As of now, no sign of prolonged warmth is forecasted for the Twin Tiers.
