CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) – This week's adoptable pet with the Chemung County SPCA is Figgy. He is a two-month-old kitten. Arynn Brucie with the SPCA says Figgy has been vaccinated, and he will soon be neutered, micro chipped and de-wormed. This kitten has a brother and sister also with the SPCA. His sister is currently in the process of being adopted, but there are no plans for his brother as of right now.

Brucie wants to remind people that it is adopt a senior pet month. This month, the SPCA would like to highlight their senior pets and make sure they are not forgotten about. The SPCA runs a special year round for senior pets. This special is where any person the age 60 or older can take home a kitten 8 years or older at no cost. Although this special is year round, the SPCA likes to especially highlight this special during the month of November.

The spay neuter clinic on the SPCA's property is slowly coming together. There has been a lot of progress since WENY News last talked about this new clinic. The first wall of the clinic has finally been put up. Brucie says if you drive by, you can notice windows and the first wall.

Finger Lakes Gives was this past Friday and the SPCA was shown a lot of support. Brucie says the SPCA raised over $1,000 in donations. She goes onto say the SPCA is thankful for all who donated.
