New York proposal seeks body cameras for state police
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Some lawmakers are proposing to equip state troopers with body cameras in New York, one of few states where the primary law enforcement agencies don’t have the cameras already. The New York state police force is the largest among them. The camera proposal was introduced this fall. It also would outline when state troopers should record their on-duty interactions. State police did not comment on the proposal but say body cameras are effective investigative tools.
