Today across the region we have seen some snow, which has been heavy at times. Also, we have seen the winds pick up throughout the day as our storm system has approached. Wind gusts will continue to increase across the Twin Tiers tonight and persist into the day Sunday. Overnight, we could see wind gusts upwards of 40 MPH across the region which could lead to isolated power outages and to blowing and drifting snow which will limit visibility on the roadways and continue to make roads slippery. Those gusts will continue into Sunday along with some snow showers which will again limit visibility and make roads treacherous for tomorrow. Gusts will begin to die down as we go into Sunday night, but not before another day of gusts greater than 30 MPH. Finally, winds are coming out of the south this evening, which will bring in warmer air by midnight, before they switch to the northwest and usher in much cooler air and bring temperatures down during the day Sunday and making it feel like the teens.
