#InItTogether with OCTV's Melissa Noel
(WENY) -- The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has turned communities around the globe into one village. WENY TV News parent company, Lilly Broadcasting is working to bring you stories of community, strength and understanding with perspective from our colleagues around the country.
It's a conversation about how life in each of the areas we cover has changed and how people are finding unique, creative, and supportive ways to stay informed and connected. Because we are all #InItTogether.
In Monday's #InItTogether segment, WENY's Isabel Garcia checks in with One Caribbean Television multimedia journalist, Melissa Noel, who is based in the New York City metro area. Melissa provides an update regarding public events scheduled for the month of June, including the 50th annual Pride Parade.
Melissa also highlights an effort through the cultural and commercial corridor, Little Caribbean NYC, via Caribbeing. The Board of Directors at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn sent an urgent request for 20 to 30 gently used tablets. They will be used for patients nearing the end of life due to #COVID19 in the hospital so they can share a few moments with family members, while physical goodbyes are not feasible.
