The cool pattern will continue this week after a gorgeous day on Sunday. Temperatures will drop into the 50s for the work week, but at the end of the week we could see even cooler weather. A strong upper level low will make its way into the Northeast, and believe it or not, this upper level low will carry a bit of energy from Polar Vortex. This means we will see much below average temperatures next weekend and even the potential to see record lows Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Models are very bullish right now on morning lows for those days with lows in the mid and low 20s, which would shatter are record lows in place right now; 27 (May 9) & 26 (May 10). Also, we will be watching out for wind chill values those mornings that could be in the teens! This is definitely subject to change as forecasting record lows or highs a week away means there is definite room for change, but the pattern is prime for those records to be broken. Unfortunately, we can't put that winter gear away just yet so stick with us as we keep you updated this week!
