BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WENY) – Anti-police brutality protesters faced off against police officers in New York City on Friday. Protests were held in Brooklyn in the wake of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The crowds clashed with police outside Barclays Center throughout the night. The demonstrators pelted officers with water bottles and other objects.

Police say at least 12 people were arrested. New York City was just one area where protests took place. Demonstrations were seen in 25 other cities, including Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago.
