(WENY) – Houses of worship have entered Phase 2 can now open to 25% capacity. According to our media partner, the Star Gazette, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said that the state will be cautioning strict adherence to social distancing protocols.

Previously, houses of worship were allowed to have gatherings of up to ten people. However, they wanted more flexibility for services and gatherings.

Masks must be worn inside churches. Yesterday, Cuomo said "This is an acceleration for us because we are doing so well on the metrics."
