13 dead in two separate Chicago shootings

UPDATE (7/5/2020 at 12:48 p.m.) -- The death toll is now up to 13. Officials say 67 people were shot over the holiday weekend.
CHICAGO, IL (WENY) – Five people are dead following two separate mass shootings in Chicago. According to Chicago Police, a 7-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were among the people shot during July 4th celebrations.
Officials say four people opened fire on a large gathering in the street. It happened just before midnight Saturday. That's where the teenage boy and three other men were killed. Chicago police say the 7-year-old girl was shot in the head while she was standing on the sidewalk at her grandmother's house.
No arrests have been made in either shooting.
