UPDATE (7/7/20) Bradford County Coroner Tom Carman has identified the two people killed after being struck by lightning in Granville Township Monday afternoon.

According to Carman, around 2:35 p.m., four men were hit by lightning on a property on Tube Drive. While in a field, the men sought shelter under a large wooden platform with a wooden deer blind on top as a heavy storm rolled in. Lightning struck the stand and traveled down an aluminum ladder.

Carman says 43-year-old Jason Gamba of Havertown, Pennsylvania and 34-year-old Craig Kelemen of Philadelphia were both in direct contact with the ladder; they were both killed.

Two other men, John Maiale and his son Joseph of Franklin Square, New York, were not in direct contact of the ladder or the two men who were killed. They were injured and transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for observation.

All four men were reportedly working on the deer stand at the time of the storm.
