We hope everyone enjoys the warm weather that is expected over the next few days because a pattern change is on the way. Heading into next week, things will become much more unsettled with numerous chances for rain. The uncertainty continues to run high in terms of storm strength and how much rain we will see, but one thing that is for sure is cold air will follow. A powerful surge of cool air will flood the Eastern US, and here locally, by the middle and end of next week. Temperatures will again be knocked down into the 60s for afternoon highs and overnight lows dropping back into the upper 30s and low 40s. Models into the end of next week and into next weekend are suggesting temperatures struggle and don't even get out of the low 50s with some in the upper 40s for daytime highs! Finally, models are suggesting the chance for the first snow flakes to fly in the higher elevations due to some lake effect. We will see how long models show that trend, but one thing is for certain, another blast of cool air is on the way!
