Temperatures for the most part have been above average so far this winter.  In fact, since December 1st, 31 days have been above average compared to only 12 days below average.  The persistent cloud cover, especially at night, has helped prevent temperatures from dropping into the teens which is more typical of lows for this time of year.  A drop to more seasonable temperatures will follow a cold front which is set to pass through the Twin Tiers early this weekend.
