CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) – Starting April 12, Chemung County will start accepting outdoor reservations at county parks.

Officials say all COVID-19 safety protocols put in place by the State and County Departments of Health must be adhered to. County officials say the responsible party will be the person who places the reservation.

For Harris Hill and Park Station Reservations:

Outdoor reservations will begin Monday April 12 from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (closed 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.). Reservations will be accepted by telephone only on April 12 and April 13. Call 607-737-2843.

After April 13, walk-ins will be welcome. The Chemung County Buildings and Grounds Department is located at 217 Madison Avenue in Elmira.

Harris Hill Pavilions 1, 2 and 3 and the Outing Center – including the card room – and Park Station Pavilions 1, 2 and 3 can be reserved Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only through September. Payment is expected within 10 days for making the reservation; a reservation made less than 10 days from the reservation date must be followed by payment on or before the next business day.

Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 30 days before your event.

For Chemung County Fairgrounds Reservations:

Outdoor-only reservations at the fairgrounds will also begin Monday, April 12. You must submit a completed facility use agreement, including payment, to Chemung County Buildings and Grounds for approval. You can also email it to [email protected] for approval.
